How we handle personal data

  • Who we are

SurveySphere Africa is the controller of personal data collected on this website. Our office is at 36 Iwaya Road, Onike, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. Write to info@surveysphereafrica.com or call +234 704 783 5747. Use the same address for privacy requests; there is no separate privacy mailbox.

  • What we collect and why

The quote form collects name, organisation, email, phone, country, research method, sample size, timeline and message, so we can prepare a quote. The lawful basis is the steps you ask us to take before a contract.

The partner form collects name, email, country, languages, role, years of experience and message, so we can assess an application. That is also the steps you ask us to take before a contract. If you tick the optional box, we keep a partner profile on file with your consent, which you can withdraw.

We store submissions in our website database and send a notification to the SurveySphere inbox through our email provider.

  • Where your data is stored

The website and its database run on a server in Helsinki, Finland (Hetzner Online GmbH). Notification emails go to the SurveySphere inbox via our email provider. This is a transfer of personal data outside Nigeria. Data are encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to named staff.

  • How long we keep it

We keep submissions for 24 months from the last communication, then delete them. We delete sooner if you ask. We never add these details to marketing lists.

  • No tracking

This site does not use analytics, cookies or third-party trackers. The server keeps logs only for security.

  • Your rights

    You may ask us to:

give you access to the personal data we hold about you

    correct inaccurate data

    delete data

restrict or object to our use of it

    provide a portable copy

    honour a withdrawal of consent

Email info@surveysphereafrica.com to make a request.

  • Complaints

You may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng. Visitors in the EU may also complain to their national data protection authority.

  • Research participants

When we run fieldwork we obtain consent before participation, anonymise datasets before sharing, and work to the ESOMAR International Code and ISO 20252.
